Rain and Cool Temps Put a Damper on Green Peppers

A combination of rain and cooler than normal temperatures in the Ohio valley and northern Michigan growing regions has drastically reduced normal production yields. North Carolina crops are done as well and product availability will continue to remain extremely limited through the month of September. We don’t expect to see any relief in supplies or pricing until the harvest of Georgia crops beginning in October.
