Asparagus Market Update
Asparagus supplies remain extremely limited due to ongoing weather challenges in key growing regions. Southern Baja has experienced a week of temperatures above 100°F, leading to dormant crops. We hope to see improvements in the coming weeks as temperatures normalize. Peru is also facing high temperatures and production setbacks particularly with larger-sized asparagus, compounded by a mounting port strike affecting shipments to the U.S.
What to Expect:
Volatile market conditions for the next two weeks.
Supply is expected to be at 30-40% of normal levels.
Improvement anticipated starting the week of October 1.
