Romaine Advisory

At this time, this is an advisory, not a recall. We will update if necessary.

The CDC and the FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of E. coli infections linked to romaine lettuce harvested from the Salinas, California growing region.  Based on this investigation the CDC has issued an alert advising that consumers not eat romaine lettuce or products containing romaine lettuce that was harvested from the Salinas, California growing region.

In response to this alert, Royal Food Service will cease distribution of romaine products harvested from the Salinas, California growing region.  All romaine products shipped beginning 11/23 will be from areas outside the Salinas growing region which have not been included in the CDC advisory.   Such areas will include Yuma, Arizona, and Mexico.
