Easy Jerk Chicken

1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
3 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 cloves chopped garlic
½ teaspoon ground allspice
1 habanero pepper, sliced **
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch strips

Combine all ingredients except for the chicken in a food processor and process until smooth. Put chicken in a large reseal able bag, pour in ¾ of the sauce, squeeze out excess air and seal up. Marinate in refrigerator for one hour. 

Preheat broiler. Remove chicken from bag and discard marinade. Broil chicken for 10 to 15 minutes turning to ensure even cooking. When chicken is cooked, heat the remainder of the sauce in a small pan and pour over chicken before serving.

Makes 4 servings

**The more seeds and pulp you leave in a habanero pepper, the hotter it will be. Handle carefully!
