CROP DAMAGE EXPECTED AFTER FLORIDA FREEZE

Last week as temperatures plummeted below freezing in Florida, growers fought the elements to try to prevent loss and damage.    At this point it looks as though the strawberry crops may have survive, but it will be a few more weeks until the growers are sure.   Green beans and corn may have received more damage from the freeze.  It is not know if the citrus crop has substained much damage yet.   It may take until the spring for the extent of damage to be confirmed.
